Concepts, the Boston-based sneaker boutique and retailer, is well known in the industry for collaborating with brands and companies across the fashion world as we’ve seen the label work with the likes of Mephisto, SOREL, and of course with labels like New Balance and Nike. Once again working with smaller, more niche partners, Concepts has teamed up with Ecco Leather to create a two-pack of Ecco Track 25s.
Utilizing one of Ecco Leather’s more experimental leathers, Kromatofor, the soft full-grain leather shifts color in different temperatures which is most noticeable when transitioning from the city streets to the great outdoors. Between the two colorways, (Black/Honey Mustard and Paloma/Cloud), the leather is designed to patina over time which will give each pair a unique look once the suede, leather, and Gore-Tex-laden upper is worn-in. For the Black/Honey Mustard rendition, the former of the two shades lands on the suede toebox, mudguard, heel, and collar while the midfoot panel takes on light tan leather. On the other pair of the pack, we see a monochromatic-like grey finish applied to this same material makeup with both pairs featuring DriTan technology which aids the sustainability of the model by saving 2 liters of fresh water per pair of shoes. Rounding out the design is the FLUIDFORM-cushioned midsole paired with a rubber outsole matching the color palette of each respective colorway.
The Concepts x Ecco Track 25 Pack is set to release on March 3rd, 2023 through Concepts online and at the retailer's Boston and NYC locations. Releasing in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $275.
