One of the Boston area’s most prolific sneaker retailers, Concepts have given sneakerheads plenty to look forward to over the years when it comes to collaborative efforts. Constantly doing work with The Swoosh (and its subsidiary brands), Concepts is once again linking up with Converse on a collaborative collection that utilizes the retailer’s “Alma” print across a slew of apparel as well as two Concepts x Converse Chuck 70 Hi colorways.
For the sneakers in the collection, Concepts keeps it relatively simple through a “Black” and “Natural Unbleached” colorway on the Chuck 70 Hi, reserving its “Alma” print for the sidewall and spine of the heel. Throughout the rest of the upper, the typical canvas construction with accent stitching comes paired with a rubber toecap and tonal laces that run through metallic eyelets. Branding details come split between each brand with Converse’s “All-Star” logo on the medial side and the brand's name on the insole staying separate from the Concepts logo on the heel and on the extra metallic eyestays along the profile. Underfoot, the same vulcanized rubber midsole and outsole we’ve known for decades remains while the packaging comes with an all-over “Alma” print and co-branded details.
For apparel, workwear-esque hoodies and button-downs come with redesigned Concepts logos in the Converse font and style, featuring the iconic star logo in the Boston-based retailer's name. Also included is what appears to be a cashmere sweater featuring embroidery of the Concepts “Almas” print.
The Concepts x Converse Almas Collection is set to release on November 11th, 2022 exclusively through Concepts online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the sneakers will each retail for $100.
