Deon Point, the creative force behind Boston-based sneaker boutique Concepts, is known for building anticipation around upcoming releases. He often takes to Instagram to tease forthcoming projects and just did so with a preview of a New Balance 1906U project. On Point’s Instagram story, he teased a second collab, this time with Asics on the popular Gel-Kayano 14.
The upcoming Concepts x Asics Gel-Kayano 14 Cream promises to be another standout release. The teaser image shared by Deon Point reveals a harmonious blend of materials and textures. The sneaker features hairy suede overlays that add a tactile dimension to the design and a breathable mesh base for comfort and ventilation. The Concepts logo is prominently displayed on the lace loop attached to the tongue. In contrast, a metallic silver tongue tag showcases the Asics logo, adding a touch of elegance to the overall aesthetic. As for the rest of the sneaker, we must wait for more pictures from Deon and Concepts.
The Concepts x Asics Gel-Kayano 14 Cream will release in 2024 through Concepts online and in-store. A release via Asics and select retailers has not yet been announced.
