Paris Fashion Week recently concluded, leaving a trail of exciting collaborations in the world of sneakers. Among these much-anticipated releases, the partnership between Commes des Garçons (CDG) and New Balance stands out, especially their newest project involving the New Balance 990v6 model. This collaboration continues CDG's well-known partnership with New Balance, which consistently produces noteworthy sneakers.
The Comme des Garçons Homme x New Balance 990v6 Pack brings a clean aesthetic to the 990v6, one of the latest models in the iconic 99X series. The pack features two distinct colorways - Triple Black and Triple White. Both pairs are crafted using premium materials, including leather, nubuck, and mesh, ensuring quality and durability. The design stays faithful to the 990v6 silhouette while integrating distinct elements from CDG, including the label's branding on the tongue tag, which replaces the standard New Balance 990v6 logo. This subtle yet impactful detail highlights the collaborative nature of these sneakers.
Additionally, the insoles of both pairs bear the logos of both brands, further emphasizing the partnership. The design is completed with a tonal foam midsole equipped with New Balance's innovative FuelCell cushioning technology, ensuring comfort and performance. It is matched with a coordinating tonal rubber outsole for a sleek and unified look.
The Comme des Garçons Homme x New Balance 990v6 Pack will release in Fall 2024 through Dover Street Market and select retailers online and in-store. As of this writing, the retail price has yet to be announced. For updates on this release and the latest sneaker news and raffles, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
