Paying tribute to one of Edison Chen’s favorite Jordan silhouettes.
CLOT, the Hong Kong-based label that helps bridge the gap between the Eastern and Western worlds through fashion, has a storied history when it comes to collaborations, especially under the Nike umbrella. During the brand's 15th Anniversary in 2018, they finally had the opportunity to work with Jordan Brand and since then the duo has come together for five separate releases, encompassing strictly performance-based Jordan models from the AJ 1 Mid to founder Edison Chen’s favorite AJ 13. Now for the first time in their collaborative history, CLOT and Jordan Brand are taking a stab at a lifestyle model and accompanying apparel while infusing Jordan 13 DNA with the upcoming CLOT x Air Jordan Delta 2 Capsule.
To pay tribute to the AJ 13, Chen mashes up the iconic “Flint” colorway and the standard Delta 2 silhouette to create a futuristic model nodding to the past, present, and future. The upper utilizes the famous paneling found on the AJ 13 through the reflective navy dimpled mesh overlay along the profile and toe of the sneaker while the rest of the colorways white and grey features are present throughout. Attached along the eyestays is a CLOT and Jumpman branded "Cat Eye" hang tag, nodding to the staple design detail found on the model that inspired this collaboration. Another hit of CLOT branding is found atop the leather tongue with the labels logo visible in blue, though they also make an appearance along the medial side via the text placed atop the dimpled mesh. Rounding out the look is the Delta 2’s React foam midsole and outsole that features the same color palette as the rest of the upper.
Alongside the sneakers is a three-piece tracksuit that will keep you matching from head to toe, including a beanie, jacket, and pants. All three clothing items come in the same color palette as the shoes and feature identical branding and design details from the quilted look to the red stitching on the CLOT logo.
The CLOT x Air Jordan Delta 2 Flint and its apparel are set to release on September 2nd, 2022 through select JUICE Store locations worldwide. Releasing in men’s sizing, the retail price for the sneakers is set at $160.
