CLOT has been a household name in the sneaker and streetwear realm for quite some time considering their collaborative history runs deep. Though they have worked with what seems like every major brand under the sun, 2022 will mark their first partnership with the iconic American boot-maker Timberland, releasing apparel alongside two colorways of the CLOT x Timberland 3-Eye Lug Handsewn Boat Shoe.
For footwear, the two brands elevate the iconic boat shoe while maintaining its classic color schemes of wheat and black. A custom silhouette featuring an uptilted toe gets its inspiration from a growling dragon’s head with the creature brought to life through the handsewn silk embroidery along the collar, featuring eyes and flames in a Chinese folk-inspired aesthetic. Rope laces in the two-tone variety run through eyestays along the tongue and collar area. While the materials may seem standard for a pair of Timberlands, the silhouette utilizes 34% recycled rubber for its chunky outsole and the upper gets its “Better Leather” from a tannery with highly rated environmental practices.
Apparel pieces in the collection take inspiration from workwear styles with Eastern-inspired details throughout, also using natural and recycled materials like the footwear options. Pieces will include a Duck Canvas jacket and pants, a long-sleeve and short-sleeve tee, and a hoodie, all of which utilize classic wheat, cream, and tan shades familiar to Timberland products.
The entire CLOT x Timberland collection is set to release on July 20th, 2022 exclusively through JUICESTORE online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $180.
