Cecilie Bahnsen x Asics Gel-Kinetic FR Collection

Flowers are the new patent leather. Or maybe patent leather is the new flower. Either way, this year has been inundated with retro palettes, shiny paneling, and flower petals galore, and the latest collection from designer Cecilie Bahnsen and Asics constructs a classic silhouette with a performance remix coated in floral graphics and a patent leather strap across the forefoot.

Flowers and Gel for the Fall

Bahnsen and Asics have been collaborating on floral footwear for the past few years, including a two-pair monochrome Gel-Quantum 360 I pack in April. Now, Cecilie is back with the Asics squad for two colorways of the Gel-Kinetic FR in Black Coffee brown and Piedmont Grey. On both pairs, a mix of leather and mesh mingles with patent leather overlays and large Gel units in the heel.
