Though many have been eyeing Puma for its performance basketball offerings, the German sportswear brand’s classic silhouettes have forever been part of sneaker culture. This line includes the Puma Suede, which has recently had cartoon-inspired collaborations, from One Piece to Marvel’s Spider-Man and even an upcoming project with Scooby-Doo. Adding to the cartoon themes, Casper The Friendly Ghost is now taking over the Puma Suede.
Mimicking the shade of Casper himself, the sneaker is covered in a cream-white shade, with suede covering most of the sneaker. Surrounding the midfoot’s Puma formstrip is a white textile that appears wavy, just like the tail of Casper as he floats around, while the ghost himself is present via embroidery on the lateral heel. Back on the heel, we see a lenticular print that depicts Casper winking, while the tongue tag showcases a similar print that switches between a winking Casper and the quote, No such things as ghosts? Final details for Casper include a co-branded logo for Casper and Puma on the insole and another phrase on the inside of the tongue that is partially legible based on the photos we have. Rounding out the look is the milky clear rubber midsole and outsole.
The Casper The Friendly Ghost x Puma Suede will launch in 2024 through Puma and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price has yet to be announced.
