While back in the day most footwear brands were looking to secure superstar athletes as endorsees, the modern-day collaboration mostly comes in the form of influencers, celebrities, and artists across the globe. Every brand has atleast one big superstar from the music industry under their umbrella, from Ye and Bad Bunny over at The Three Stripes, Travis Scott for Nike, and Cardi B with Reebok. The latter of the four collaborations has just unveiled the latest collection in their arsenal with Cardi B reworking the Club C V2 and even getting her own slide.
For the Cardi B x Reebok Club C V2, the DNA from the classic Club C gets infused with a new bold, oversized design that pushes the limits of proportions and design. Coming in three monochromatic color options, Vital Blue, Ultima Purple, and Puzzled Purple, the sneaker features a mix of leather, suede, and mesh across its design with a 3D rubberized Reebok Vector logo landing on the midfoot. Suede panels land on the toe, collar, and heel with smooth leather also present along the midfoots stripe design while the tongue gets a mesh makeover. Tonal laces keep everything in order while the sole unit below receives oversized lugs, representing Cardi B’s exaggerated lifestyle while paying homage to Reebok.
With her Slides, Cardi B continues to push the limits of proportions with a puffy forefoot strap and chunky footbed featuring a grooved V rubber outsole that gives the silhouette a bolder look. Available in three colors (two of which are also found on the Club C V2), Ultima Purple, Puzzled Purple, and Modern Beige, the monochromatic theme continues as each colorway utilizes the titular shade across the entire model.
The latest Cardi B x Reebok Collection is set to drop on October 14th, 2022 through Reebok and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in women’s sizing, the Club C V2 will retail for $120 while the Cardi B Slides are priced at $75.
