First Look at Caitlin Clark's Nike Kobe 5 Protro Rookie of the Year PE

It’s been over a year since Caitlin Clark took home the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year trophy, and nine months since Clark debuted a ROY-themed Kobe 5 Protro PE on the court, but it’s never too late to celebrate greatness. Now, Nike is bringing the silver trophy colorway to the streets with a wide release for the spring. After getting confirmation on this player-exclusive sneaker’s release, we’ve got a couple of in-hand previews of the pair for a better look.

The Caitlin Clark x Nike Kobe 5 Protro Rookie of the Year is a two-tone beauty with metallic silver covering the protective armor upper. Red accents land on the tongue, ankle collar, Swoosh, Kobe sheath branding, and the outsole. The colorway is a direct callout to photos of Clark accepting the award after her stellar 2024 debut season, blending Clark’s red jersey with the trophy’s silver sheen.

Clark has been the face of Nike’s WNBA program since she signed with the brand, and after rounding out 2025 with a new ad campaign and more Kobe PEs, the Fever sharp-shooter is set to debut her first signature silhouette before this year is over. In the meantime, we’ll just have to make do with more CC Kobe PEs.

The Caitlin Clark x Nike Kobe 5 Protro Rookie of the Year PE will release Spring 2026 through Nike and select retailers in-store and online.
