Jordan Brand’s presence in the NFL has expanded over the last few years, with more and more NFL superstars signing with the label. As the 2024 NFL season is underway, Jordan Brand has announced it has signed C.J. Stroud, the starting quarterback for the Houston Texans. Alongside Stroud, Jordan Brand has a roster full of NFL talent, including Dak Prescott, Bryce Young, Maxx Crosby, and Puka Nacua.
Even before officially signing with Jordan Brand, Stroud has been taking the field in Jordan cleats, spotted rocking the Air Jordan 1 Low Chicago Cleats during a preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. According to Stroud, in an interview with Boardroom, the deal has been in the works for years. “That’s been a five-year relationship. That didn’t happen overnight.”
The exact details regarding the signing have not been revealed, though it’s said to be for multiple years and will include Stroud in marketing material for Jordan Brand. Alongside this, Stroud will, of course, be taking the field in Air Jordan cleats, and he has the potential to get his signature line if he performs well enough over the next few seasons. In the past, we’ve seen NFL stars get their signature lines from Nike, but only one has ever received a signature Jordan shoe, Randy Moss, with the Jordan Super Freak and the Jordan Mossified.
During his Week 1 performance, Stroud played well in the Texans’ victory, throwing for 234 yards, two touchdowns, and completing 75% of his passes. On his feet was a pair of Jordan 1 Low cleats in a blacked-out colorway accented by the Swoosh and his number 7 added to the heel.
