BSTN and adidas Celebrate Oktoberfest’s Infamous Italians Weekend
Every year during Munich, Germany’s famed Oktoberfest, the weekend during the second week of festivities is overrun by Italian tourists. The phenomenon has become a bit of a joke amongst locals, who tend to avoid the celebration that weekend. So when German sneaker boutique BSTN and the fellow Germans at adidas came together ahead of the harvest season holiday for a new collab, a tongue-in-cheek pack of Oktoberfest-themed München celebrating “Italians weekend” was born.
The two-pack of München features colorways in cream and brown suede with green accents designed to look like lederhosen, the traditional leather pants worn during Oktoberfest. Besides the difference in the color of the suede upper, the rest of the color blocking is identical between the two pairs with white laces, side panel stripes, heel counter, a green interior lining, and a gum sole. Both shoes feature “Salute” branding in gold on the side panel and Italian flag-inspired red, white, and green on the tongue logo. Salute is the Italian word for cheers, adding more shoutouts to Oktoberfest’s Italians weekend.
Bringing some old school energy to the release, BSTN’s Munich flagship store partnered with four different local pizzerias last week on special-edition take-out pizza boxes, with select boxes labeled with a code for a free pair of early-release shoes. How’s that for Italian? BSTN and adidas have been longtime collaborators, and this expertly executed release isn’t even our favorite of the year, which came from the OG With a Twist Spezial pack. With this many hits, it’s hard to pick.
The BSTN x adidas München Oktoberfest pack will be released on September 13, 2025 through BSTN in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the price is still TBD.
