Major League Baseball star and Under Armour athlete Bryce Harper has again set the bar high in sports fashion. In a unique collaboration, Harper has teamed up with Under Armour to produce a special edition of his Under Armour Harper 9 Cleat, inspired by the beloved convenience store chain Wawa. This custom PE colorway, dubbed the Gottahava Harper, celebrates Harper's love for Wawa and their iconic HoagieFest event.
The Gottahava Harper cleats testify to Harper's creativity and love for Wawa. The color scheme draws from the retro hues of Wawa, blending rich brown tones with vibrant red accents. The cream-colored toe cap adds a touch of elegance, while the heel features a custom Harper barcode that mirrors the ticket slip received when ordering food at Wawa. The cleated sole unit showcases both Harper and Wawa branding, making these cleats a must-have for fans of the athlete and the convenience store.
In addition to the cleats, the collaboration extends to apparel, with Harper and Under Armour releasing clothing items under the Gottahava Harper branding. The apparel line includes two distinct T-shirt designs. One shirt combines Bryce Harper's BH logo and the retro Wawa gradient logo, offering a nostalgic nod to the past. The other tee keeps things modern, providing fans with a contemporary look that pays homage to the convenience store's iconic branding.
Harper debuted the Wawa-inspired PEs on Friday when his Philadelphia Phillies played against the Arizona Diamondbacks. However, even with these custom cleats, Harper could only put up one hit in four at-bats during the 5-4 loss against the D-Backs.
