Runner Josh Kerr Debuted a Brooks Cascadia 1 PE at the Press Conference for His Mile Record Chase

Records are meant to be broken, but in running, the one-mile world record has stood for over 27 years. No matter how long it holds, runners will always look to set a new best, and this week, Scotsman Josh Kerr is making his goal known, teaming up with Brooks for a world record attempt he’s calling Project 222 at this weekend’s Diamond League stop in London.

Ahead of his world record attempt, Kerr spoke in front of reporters and posed for photos wearing a PE pair of shoes made for chilling, not racing. The Brooks Cascadia 1 for Josh Kerr adds a tan plaid base to the mesh paneling as a reference to his Scottish roots and family tartan, with tan leather overlays and black stitching accents throughout.

Two-tone laces in black and tan add more tartan pattern, with Kerr’s signature on the tongue logo and a Brooks Beasts logo on the tongue stabilizer. Finally, a darker brown and black tartan plaid fabric pops on the side panel Brooks logo.
