Known for its bold and creative designs, Brain Dead has begun to expand its collaborative efforts with adidas. Recently, the duo dropped an exclusive friends-and-family Bowling Shoe in limited quantities, a prelude to the forthcoming projects between the two. Now Brain Dead has unveiled a tennis-inspired Unstructured Stan Smith, exclusive to London.
Drawing inspiration from the classic Stan Smith color palette, this new iteration features a clean white upper accented with green details. However, Brain Dead's changes to the Stan Smith introduce a twist: the upper is crafted from unlined supple cow leather. This redesign makes it more flexible and malleable than a traditional sneaker. The iconic Three Stripes branding on the midfoot is replaced with Brain Dead's distinctive logo, while Stan Smith's portrait on the tongue is also swapped out for Brain Dead's branding.
The laces are designed in a white and green color scheme, complementing the tongue tag. The heel features green hairy suede, and the interior is lined with brown leather, adding to the premium feel. The look is completed with a creamy rubber midsole, providing comfort and style.
The Brain Dead x adidas Unstructured Stan Smith will release on July 6, 2024, via Dover Street Market London, and on July 7, 2024, through a pop-up event hosted by Brain Dead at the Cumberland Lawn Tennis Club.
