The New Balance 574 Legacy isn’t a significantly different silhouette from the general release 574s available from NB. However, this also isn’t the first time New Balance has given a collaboration 574 the “Legacy” designation. Junya Watanabe had their own 574 Legacy collab release earlier this year, coming in three different colorways. Bodega’s two-pack is a more minimal take on the model, coming in two of the three primary colorways. Even with how simple the colorways are, New Balance always delivers on the material side, with Bodega picking the nappiest of suedes for their latest joint effort.
Bodega’s New Balance 574 Legacy Pack features premium material hits in what Bodega calls “two fundamental colors,” a predominantly yellow pair and a blue-based pair. The yellow pair features a shorter hair suede with hits of blue on the inner lining while the blue pair is covered in a thicker, hairer suede with a yellow inner liner. Both pairs feature a grey ENCAP hit on a white midsole and black outsole, with 3M reflective grey for the heel tab and the “N” logo on the upper. White laces with red lace tips incorporate the third primary color into the shoe in a subtle way.
The Bodega x New Balance 574 Legacy Pack is set to release on June 23rd, 2022, exclusively at the Bodega in Paris x New Balance Clubhouse pop-up. A wider release will follow at Bodega online and in-store on July 15th, 2022. Retail is set at $130 for men's sizes.
