While not drawing the same attention as brands like New Balance, adidas, or Nike, Saucony has had a long history of providing silhouettes ready for your next jog while also coming in with low-key collaborative projects that hit just as hard as one from a “hype” brand. For their latest team-up, Boston-based retailer Bodega is bringing some vibrant shades to the Saucony 3D Grid Hurricane.
Taking on a mixture of mesh, suede, and a textile-like 3D design, the sneaker comes dressed in contrasting shades of neutral, earth, and vibrant tones. Around the toebox and piping the leather overlay along the midfoot is a forest green shade with the former of the two areas coming in suede. Saucony branding is brightly displayed here on the toe with a neon green logo while the mid-foot’s 3D logo comes in an iridescent purple finish. Brown shades make their mark on the eyestays and heel with stark whites landing on the toebox, laces, and via the aforementioned leather overlay near the midfoot. Bodega makes an appearance on the multi-colored tongue and the “3D” moniker comes to life with the collar and midfoot coming dressed in a 3D quilt-like pattern. Underfoot sits a white foam midsole with green accents on the heel paired with a gum and blue rubber outsole.
The Bodega x Saucony 3D Grid Hurricane is set to release on January 21st, 2023 through Bodega online and in-store at the brand's Boston and LA locations. Releasing in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
