The Nike SB Air Force 1 might be the shoe of the summer. After debuting the remixed classic in a Linen-inspired Light Orewood colorway, SB followed it up with a Timberland-inspired Flax monochrome, but it’s the pairs barely visible on the horizon that have us really excited. Diving deeper into SB’s typical tendencies, the latest skate-friendly AF1 preview is the first skate shop collab seen on the new silhouette.
From Amsterdam with Love
The Ben-G x Nike SB Air Force 1 Sample popped up on Instagram this week, adding another SB collab for the Amsterdam skate shop that dropped a white and green Swoosh-textured SB Dunk Low in 2019. This time around, the early sample preview shows a new approach on the SB AF1, with a brown and purple suede mix looking like a tribute to Donatello.
Seen in just a couple of leaked preview images, the pre-production pair features an upper coated in rich chocolate brown suede. Deep purple is added to the suede Swoosh, leather heel tab, and outsole, with a creamy white midsole adding some bright contrast. The Ben-G logo on the lateral heel features white lettering on top of a purple embroidered circle.
Is the Ben-G x Nike SB Air Force 1 Dropping?
As of now, the Ben-G x Nike SB Air Force 1 Sample hasn’t made it to the SB drop schedule, but with the sample making it out of the shop, there’s a decent chance we’ll hear more about the collab soon.
