The Beams x Sperry MIL CLO Channels the Model's Military History
Published
Unveiling yet another collaboration, renomwened Japanese retailer Beams and Sperry are set to release a limited-edition rendition of the CVO. For this collection , Beams faithfully replicates the original CVO (circular vamp oxford), Sperry's first non-slip deck shoe invented by Paul Sperry in 1935. The same design was a standard issue item for U.S. Navy service members during World War II, and Beams honors the historical connection.
Three colorways reflect military motifs, including the original “Rust Brown” from the U.S. Navy uniform, navy blue evoking the vast ocean, and an ivory shade nodding to the battlefield. Incorporating the same tooling used in the 1940s, these shoes deliver an authentic fit, look, and feel. They also boast vintage-inspired footbed branding and come in a specially designed, pre-distressed shoe box, amplifying the nostalgic appeal.
The Beams x Sperry MIL CLO will release June 17, exclusively through the Beams PLUS store and Beams online. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at ¥13,200 (approx $93).
