Although they are engaged in a legal battle with The Swoosh, BAPE continues pushing forward with its inline releases and collaborative efforts. Getting its start in 1993, 2023 marks the brand’s 30th Anniversary. The brand has joined forces with long-time partner adidas (who also is celebrating its 20th anniversary of collaborating with BAPE) to celebrate the occasion. Following up on a “30th Anniversary” themed colorway on the adidas Campus 80s, the duo have now cooked up a two-pack of adidas Forum Low colorways.
Seen in the classic green BAPE camo, as well as a blue version of this pattern, the BAPE x adidas Forum Low 30th Anniversary Pack adds plenty of unique details to the model. The same colorblocking and details appear on both colorways, like the camo wrapping around the mudguard, eyestays, collar, heel, and lockdown strap. BAPE branding appears throughout, while a custom “30” logo with the iconic APE head appears on the lace dubrae. A Bathing Ape takes over the branding window on the lockdown strap. The tongue tag also features another hit of the 30th Anniversary logo. It appears in a gold finish on the green camo pair, and silver on the blue camo rendition. Three Stripes branding remains on the midfoot and heel, while a debossed APE head appears on the lateral heel overlay. Rounding out the look for both pairs is a white midsole paired with a tonal rubber outsole matching the upper’s main shade.
The BAPE x adidas Forum Low 30th Anniversary Pack will be released online and in-store on May 20th, 2023 through adidas Confirmed and BAPE. As of this writing, sizing and pricing info is TBD.
