Despite ongoing legal disputes with Nike over its BAPE STA design, BAPE continues to make waves in the sneaker world. Undeterred, BAPE remains committed to innovating and expanding its footwear line. In January 2024, BAPE is set to release the SK8 STA Gradient Pack, a new collection that infuses the brand's SK8 STA silhouette with eye-catching gradient patterns.
The BAPE SK8 STA Gradient Pack includes four distinct colorways: Gradient White, Gradient Black, Gradient Green, and Gradient Beige. Each shoe in the pack features a combination of tumbled leather and suede in its construction, offering a premium look and feel. One of the notable design elements is the TPU reinforcement on the lateral heel, which incorporates "93," a nod to the year BAPE was founded.
The sneakers also feature standard BAPE branding, with the star logo prominently displayed on the midfoot and BAPE STA logos on the tongue and heel. The highlight of these sneakers is the gradient pattern on the suede base layer, which transitions from a tonal shade to a contrasting hue in each colorway, adding a dynamic and stylish touch to the design. The pack is completed with a tonal midsole and outsole, ensuring a cohesive and clean finish.
The BAPE SK8 STA Gradient Pack will release on January 6, 2024, through BAPE online and in-store. Available in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $309.
