A Bathing Ape (BAPE) and adidas have a long-running partnership, and this year just so happens to have two significant anniversaries for the two. 2023 marks both the 30th Anniversary of BAPE and the 20th anniversary of the first BAPE x adidas collab. Following the “Navy” colorway, BAPE is adding a brown adidas Campus 80s to continue the anniversary celebrations.
The earthy brown colorway on this Campus 80s provides a contemporary twist to the heritage silhouette. The premium suede upper is covered entirely in brown hues, while the BAPE star branding and Three Stripes adorn the sides of the shoe in white leather. Golden metallic hits mark the heel tab, lateral midfoot, and 30th-anniversary lace dubrae. Atop the tongue, another nod to BAPE’s 30th birthday is seen with a similar APE head design. Underfoot sits a cream sole unit. The sneaker also comes packaged in a special co-branded box with a BAPE mesh drawstring bag.
The BAPE x adidas Campus 80s 30th Anniversary Brown will release July 1 through adidas Confirmed and BAPE online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
