The resurgence of classic sneaker silhouettes has been a trend in recent years, with every significant brand digging into the archives. While the '80s legends Avia have fallen to the wayside, they've continued to quietly release new models in addition to colorways for their retro models. Gearing up for a truly nostalgic (and limited) release, Avia has primed the Avia 830 and 880 in vintage color schemes, each of which is limited to just 500 units.
Retaining the OG specs from the original Avia 830 and 880, these re-releases offer a vintage aesthetic and bring all of us back to the time when you'd see the kicks on NBA courts. The 830 comes in a clean cream and green combo alongside vintage details from the original releases. Most of the upper is doused in a creamy white hue with green accents on the collar, heel, tongue label, and Avia branding on the midfoot. The 880, on the other hand, gets a white leather upper and grey accents on the midfoot, tongue strap, eyestays, and portions of the heel. Bright red branding on the strap and tongue tag contrasts the dark grey Avia logo on the midfoot. Both pairs retain their original midsole and outsoles.
The Avia 830 and 880 will releaseMay 5 exclusively through Avia’s website. Both sneakers will be available in men’s sizing, though the retail price has yet to be announced.
