Having a storied history in the world of collaborations, atmos, the Japanese-based retailer, consistently teams up with its German friend adidas. Most recently, atmos and adidas have teamed up to craft various colorways of the 90s cult-classic skate shoe, the adidas Adimatic. Alongside the three-way collab with X-LARGE and the call back to the model's OG packaging, atmos seems to take inspirtion from the iconic brand Patagonia for this purple suede colorway.
Originally leaked less than a month after Yvon Chouinard announced that he was giving away his company, the atmos brings Patagonia vibes to the Adimatic. Thick white Three Stripes adorn the lateral and medial sides of the Adimatic, and the rest of the sneaker is painted in a purple and orange palette that bears a striking resemblance to the Ventura-based label's iconic logo. Underfoot, you'll find a chunky foam midsole that's done up with zig-zag detailing, and this is then lined with gum rubber for added traction and grip with every step.
The atmos x adidas Adimatic Purple White first released in Japan and overseas market in December 2022 with a US drop taking place on May 10, 2023 exclusively through atmos. Releasing in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $100.
