When traveling through a major city, the subway is usually the best means of transportation. Though their layout may seem like a convoluted mess, atmos is here to guide you through both Tokyo and NYC with two subway-map-covered Asics Gel-Lyte III’s.
Both colorways in this “Subway Pack” come covered entirely in a map print of both NYC and Tokyo across the high quality leather overlays and underlays. For Tokyo, the leather base comes primarily dressed in white with hints of blue and orange around the various Asics branding along the midfoot and toe. The map stays true to Tokyo with Japanese characters noting the various routes and stations as well as writing along the tip of the toe box. Cream laces match the midsole below, rounded off by a tri-toned red, cream, and black outsole.
As for the NYC iteration, the silhouette comes in a darker tone, though still remains in the realm of cream shades that most maps come in. Subway lines come in a multi-color mix with hits of blue placed on overlays and underlays showcasing the water that surrounds the peninsula. Finishing off the look is a white midsole and tri-color black, grey, and red outsole.
Both colorways of the atmos x Asics Gel-Lyte III Subway Pack are set to release in 2022 through atmos, Asics and select retailers online and in-store. The NYC Subway edition will kick things off on April 9th, 2022. Coming in men's sizes, retail is set at approx. $152 USD.
