Few sneaker boutiques have been as prolific in the collaboration space as Tokyo, Japan’s atmos. An OG in the sneaker space, atmos spent years with stateside home bases in NYC and Philly, but in the past few years, the brand has reestablished itself as Japan’s home for all things exclusive sneakers, and sadly for us American sneakerheads, most of the brand’s subsequent collabs have remained exclusively available in Asia.
Japan’s Take on the Canadian Tuxedo
The latest atmos collab collection comes in tandem with adidas, this time bringing out two pairs of Handball Spezial drenched in blue denim, one for the brand’s main line, and the other in collaboration with atmos Pink, the shop’s womenswear label. On the men’s pair, the colorway is slightly darker, like raw denim, while the women’s pair opts for a full coat of lightwash blue.
The darker denim pair features a classic soccer-style fold-over tongue, light blue denim hits on the Three Stripes branding and heel tab, plus a thick brown tongue tag that matches the brown outsole. On the women’s exclusive pair, a ruffled denim border surrounds the lace panel, while white denim accents flood the Three Stripes, and more brown finishes up the outsole and tongue tag.

The atmos x adidas Handball Spezial Denim Pack will be released on a staggered schedule, with the dark denim colorway set to drop on May 28, 2026, and the women’s-exclusive pair following with a June release date.
