The Asics GT-2160 Breeze Debuts June 2025

Japanese footwear brand Asics has maintained its popularity in fashion circles thanks to its mesh runners staying in style over the last two or so years. However, the brand doesn’t just churn out the same silhouette repeatedly, as we’ve seen Asics drop updates to its classic designs. The GT-2160, a staple in the brand’s lineup, is now undergoing a makeover with the new Breeze variant.

Pictured here in two launch colorways, the Asics GT-2160 Breeze features a reconstructed upper that removes the mesh paneling in favor of cut-outs directly into the inside of the sneaker. A neoprene bootie and collar are added, providing a more snug and padded fit than the traditional GT-2160. Outside of this and the updated quick lace setup, the rest of the sneaker remains faithful to the OG.

Open-spaced mesh lands on the toebox, while the mudguard, midfoot panel, and heel overlay come with leather construction. Asics’ tiger stripe logo remains on the midfoot, rendered in metallic silver and black on the Black pair and metallic silver and cream on the White pair. Underfoot sits a tonal foam midsole and a tonal rubber outsole.

The Asics GT-2160 Breeze will release on June 20, 2025, exclusively through Concepts online and in-store. A wider release via Asics and other retailers will come later.
