One of the biggest trends of the year is back to round out the calendar, combining a dressy upper construction with a sport-ready sole at least one more time before 2025 is out. The latest hybrid dress shoe keeps a sporty silhouette, but breaks out the premium leather and hard-bottom inspiration on a new pack of ultra-cushioned Asics Gel-Kinetic SPs colorways.
The Asics Gel-Kinetic SP Pack features two classy colorways, one in brown leather and the other in black. Both pairs take a monochromatic approach to the upper, adding soft leather to the entire upper, with matching colored mesh weaving between the panels surrounded by textured synthetic supports. The lace panels are done in a slightly shiny premium leather for a bit of pop, and the lower case “a” Asics logo is added to the toebox via subtle perforations, and the lateral heel by way of a metallic badge.

Following a handful of sneaker loafer hybrids and premium leather dress sneakers, the Gel-Kinetic SP pack represents the latest blurring of formal and casual. To release the shoe, Asics teamed up with filmmaker Souf Kinani for a short film exploring the dynamic of intergenerational mingling through footwear.
