The NBA pre-season is almost here, but Anthony Edwards hasn’t touched back down in Minneapolis just yet. First, the Timberwolves’ star is taking his time to hang out with NBA impersonators and train with the youth in Manila, embracing the Philippines’ obsessive basketball culture.

The trip isn’t all fun and games, though, and Ant is still making time to put in court work to prep for next season. In a few on-court training pictures posted to Instagram, Edwards caught the entire world’s attention, debuting the long-awaited adidas AE 3 ahead of its upcoming release.
Wearing the Bliss Blue colorway of the AE 3, the much-debated silhouette looks much better on foot than it does in static images, with the continuous arrow graphics always pointing towards the bucket. The triangular toebox and vamp shape bring the pair in line with the AE 1 and AE 2, but with a distinct gradient color and heel-to-toe textural energy.
