Even with Kyrie Irving continuing to recover from his season-ending injury, he and ANTA have plans for more ANTA Kai 2 releases over the summer. Next up for the sneaker is the Sun colorway, rooted in Kyrie’s reverence for nature and the cosmic interplay of the sun and moon.

Primarily covered in vivid daylight orange, the color palette is meant to represent vitality, healing, and the boundless potential of new beginnings. Accents of sky blue and solar ochre find a home on the ANTA logo on the midfoot, sockliner, and portions of the sole unit.

“I’ve always been moved by the glow of the rising sun,” says Kyrie. “It reminds me to walk in faith, stay aligned with nature, and never take a single moment for granted. This colorway represents my belief that every day is a chance to rise again—and to speak truth with light.”

True to Irving’s creative vision, the Kai 2 Sun features thoughtful design cues that blend performance and spiritual symbolism. A zig-zag edge along the midsole mimics the glimmer of sunlight reflecting on water, while celestial textures and constellation-like graphics nod to the universal order that inspires Kyrie’s approach to life and basketball.

A subtle hand icon on the heel symbolizes divine guidance and protection — another layer of meaning woven into this eye-catching silhouette.
