The club kid motorcycle aesthetic, covered in durable rubber, leather, straps, and all kinds of technical bulk, is having an extended resurgence from its 90s heyday, and for Hood By Air founder Shayne Oliver, the scene was the perfect inspiration for his latest collaboration with his current project, Anonymous Club, and Converse.

We first got a look at the Anonymous Club x Converse Chuck Taylor Pack in January, and now, the brands are ready to present an official story for the collection. Arriving in extra-high-top Chuck Taylors in black and white monochrome with silver straps added on the forefoot and ankle, the retooled silhouette is tough for purpose and aesthetic, treating the classic Chuck Taylor like a sculpture.

“Material finishes introduce a subtle latex-like feel, giving the Chuck 70 an armor-like presence,” the brands wrote about the new collab. “A layered, shoe-within-a-shoe construction with a supportive inner sock… balancing the sculptural form with everyday wearability.”
