Andy Reid Gets Kansas City Chiefs-Inspired Nike Caitlin 1 Sea of Red

Sunday Night Football almost became Monday Morning Football this week thanks to the Kansas City Chiefs and Indianapolis Colts going into overtime. The Chiefs squeaked out a 33-30 victory against the visiting Colts just before midnight, but the potential lack of sleep for head coach Andy Reid is probably on the back of his mind thanks to Caitlin Clark. Ahead of Clark’s Nike signature sneaker, the Nike Caitlin 1, hitting shelves on October 1, she gifted Reid a Kansas City Chiefs-inspired pair dubbed Sea of Red.

In a social media post from the Kansas City Chiefs, coach Reid is seen holding a pair of the Nike Caitlin 1 Sea of Red that was given to him personally by Caitlin Clark. After shouting out Caitlin for the gift, Andy gives his praise to WNBA players, and of course, the sneakers, which fit the Chiefs primary color scheme. It’s also a perfect color palette for the Indiana Fever, but way back when Caitlin appeared on Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce’s podcast, she mentioned that her debut sneaker would get a KC colorway.

When Does the Nike Caitlin 1 Sea of Red Release?

As of this writing, the Kansas City Chiefs-inspired Nike Caitlin 1 Sea of Red does not have a confirmed release date. It’s possible the pair is a player-exclusive, but it’s likely going to get a retail release at some point in 2027.
