AJ Dybansta Rocks the New Nike GT Flight With LED Lights

NBA media day is something every basketball fan looks forward to, as it's a chance to see players in new threads, whether it’s rookies looking to break out or veterans adding another chapter to their career. Sneakerheads also get a show as it's the day that many players show out in their best kicks, usually debuting new colorways, collabs, and, of course, the next generation of performance basketball sneakers. After Devin Booker debuted a new Futura Nike Book 2, LeBron teased the Nike LeBron 24 Chosen 1s, and Tyrese Haliburton revealed the Puma Hali 2, Washington Wizards rookie AJ Dybantsa made sure the lights were shining on him as he rocked a pair of the all-new Nike GT Flight featuring LEDs.
Nike GT Flight LED Details
We first got a look at the latest entry in the Greater Than series from Nike Basketball when Dybansta was spotted wearing a Metallic Silver pair during the NBA Summer League, but we now have an official name for the model and a brand-new LED-laden version. The GT Flight features a soft neoprene base that is secured with an armored exoskeleton that is attached to the lacing system on the midfoot. The solid one-piece cage on this new version comes in a tonal black hue to match the base. However, the biggest change is the large LED Swoosh on the back that isn’t restricted to one color, as AJ’s kicks changed from blue to red during his photoshoot.
If you recall, when Dybansta and D.C. rapper Wale first debuted the Nike GT Future, their pairs featured LED Swoosh logos on the tongue. This feature was scrapped for the retail version, and only the friends-and-family and early prototype pairs contained the light-up logo. This might be the case here, but we’ll have to wait and see.
Nike GT Flight Release Info
The Nike GT Flight is expected to hit shelves in Spring 2027 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Retail is set at $180.
