When you think of the Air Jordan AJKO 1, you immediately think of its canvas-based upper. Since its inception in 1986, the AJKO has not strayed away from its traditional materials much. Outside of a few limited releases in 2011 and the Billie Eilish collab in 2021, the AJKO has lived up to its name. However, Jordan Brand is looking to give the model a makeover for Fall 2023.
Coming in a clean black, fierce purple, and white, this Air Jordan AJKO 1 ditches its usual canvas construction for a satin. Coming in classic "Bred" colorblocking, the black satin-based upper is paired with fierce purple accents. The white midsole is present, helping to break up the black-based design from its solid rubber outsole.
The Air Jordan AJKO 1 Field Purple is set to release on July 7th, 2023. It will drop at Nike, via the SNKRS app, and at select Jordan Brand retailers worldwide, both online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, retail is set at $150.
