In honor of its 35th Anniversary, Jordan Brand is set to celebrate Michael Jordan’s seventh signature sneaker throughout 2022. While we are a quarter of the way through the year and no AJ 7s have surfaced, the time has finally come for its first release of the year. Kicking things off will be the Air Jordan 7 Retro SE “Shimmer.”
Sporting early 90s ACG-like vibes, the AJ 7 “Sapphire” comes in a shimmer, black and sapphire colorway. Featuring a two-tone beige upper, with suede overlays and nubuck underlays. The most unique feature on this Air Jordan 7 are the translucent mesh cut outs seen on the side panels and ankle. Blue and pink accent the inner bootie, back heel logo, and small portions on the bottom of the outsole. Rounding out the look is a dark grey paint splattered midsole sitting atop a translucent smoky grey outsole.
The Air Jordan 7 Retro SE Sapphire is set to release on April 16th, 2022. It will drop at Nike as well as select Jordan Brand retailers in-store and online. Coming in men’s sizes, retail is set at $210.
