This year marks the 35th anniversary of the Air Jordan 6, which means that it’s also a hallmark anniversary for Michael Jordan himself. 35 years ago, MJ and the Chicago Bulls secured their first championship against Magic Johnson and the Los Angeles Lakers. During that legendary run, His Airness donned the Air Jordan 6, cementing the shoe’s legacy forever. For the celebration, Jordan is bringing back the Air Jordan 6 White Infrared for the first time since 2014 in its true 1991 form. Now, official images of the long-awaited return have landed.

Air Jordan 6 Retro White Infrared Details

The silhouette features a clean white leather upper with the iconic zig-zag side panels that designer Tinker Hatfield crafted to look like an abstract interpretation of Jordan’s jersey number 23. Perforations in the cutouts and the ankle add a level of breathability to the classic hoop shoe. Speaking of classic, the original Nike Air branding appears embroidered on the heel in place of the Jumpman logo, which was used on both previous retro releases of the colorway.

Also more in line with the original version are bright pops of red on the midsole, Jumpman on the lace shroud, lace lock, and rear spoiler-inspired heel tab, whereas the most recent version was nearly pink. To stay in line with NBA dress code at the time, hints of black appear on the window-like tongue, sockliner, heel tab, and parts of the outsole. Finishing up the look is an icy translucent outsole that’s just as cold as Jordan on the court.

The Air Jordan 6 Retro White Infrared will be released November 7, 2026, through Nike and select Jordan retailers in-store and online.
