The history behind many Jordan sneakers runs deep and many times we’ll see sneakers like the Air Jordan 6 take on colorways from other Air Jordans. Seen recently with releases like the Air Jordan 1 True Blue which pays homage to the Air Jordan 3 “True Blue,” the iconic Air Jordan 8 “Aqua” inspires the upcoming Air Jordan 6 Retro “Aqua.”
Coming covered in black nubuck, this Jordan 6 features tonal black stitching throughout that allows the aqua and purple accents to shine through. More black-on-black shades land on the lace set and tongue while purple takes over the Jumpman on the tongue cover and lace locknearby. Working back, you find more details normally on the AJ 6 like the perforated collar and spoiler pull tab with the latter of these two getting a small hit of purple. Underfoot, the midsole features a combination of purple and aqua blue for its foam portion while the exposed Air unit in the heel is encapsulated by a semi-translucent icy blue rubber. Rounding out the design is the black and icy blue outsole.
The Air Jordan 6 Retro Aqua will release October 7 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store.
