Took a massive L on the AJ 5 Burgundy's back in 2006? Well, you’re in luck.

It looks like 2023 is set to be a massive year for major Jumpman comebacks. Following news that the Air Jordan 4 “Thunder” will be re-releasing next year, rumor has it that 2006’s iconic Air Jordan 5 Burgundy is also on the cards to return. One of the first none-OG colorways created by Tinker Hatfield, this is a must-have whether you’re an old school sneakerhead or a new one.
When it first made its debut back in 2006, it launched alongside the Air Jordan 5 “Green Bean” which was very recently retroed. This is a clear sign that the “Burgundy” could indeed make its much-anticipated comeback. Boasting an all-suede construction that’s as premium as they come, the upper is dipped in a “Deep Burgundy” hue while contrast stitching runs across. “Flint Grey” accents adorn the tongue and sockliner just like the OG, and keeping in line with the classic AJ5 design, the oversized tongue is coated in a reflective finish. This all sits on top of a Nike Air midsole that’s inspired by World War 2 fighter jets.
Need the Nike Air Jordan 5 Deep Burgundy Flint Grey in your collection? Then expect it to get a retro in 2023 with a price tag of $225 in men’s sizes. In terms of where you’ll actually be able to grab a pair, they should be available at Nike, SNKRS, and select Jordan retailers both online and in-store.
