With anticipation building for this year's Quai 54 streetball tournament, Jordan Brand has decided to stoke the flames the reveal of the Air Jordan 38 Quai 54 Promo Sample. This pair, which was revealed in Wednesday's episode of SNKRS Live, follows the same color scheme as the Quai 54 Luka 2, Jordan 2 Low, and Jordan 1 Low slated for release this year.

Set against a black base layer, this Air Jordan 38 stands out with green, red, and yellow accents. These striking colors are tastefully incorporated into intricate patterns on the midfoot overlay and an arrow-like design on the collar. The vibrant yellow appears along the laces and piping of the midfoot panel. Although we weren’t given a full detailed look, we can expect to see co-branded details for Quai 54 to land on select portions of the sneaker.

Even with this Air Jordan 38 being exclusive to the tournament’s players, this is the first time Nike and Jordan Brand have acknowledged any version of model publicly. Matthias Bannon, a senior product graphic designer at Jordan Brand, shared some tech specs for the AJ38. Full-length Cushlon 3.0 foam and a Zoom Strobel unit work together for cushioning, while an X-Plate underneath is inspired by the Air Jordan 8 and ensures stability and support. Bannon also said the AJ38's shape is directly inspired by Michael Jordan's footwork for his signature fadeaway jump shot.

While the Quai 54 version won't get a public release, Jordan Brand has a few colorways of the Air Jordan 38 slated for the coming months, including the "Fundamental" and "WNBA."
