Jordan Brand never ceases to impress, continuously blending heritage and innovation. Fresh off the Air Jordan 38 introduction, the brand is already plotting its next move. With fans starting to warm up to the high-top version of this new silhouette, a low-top rendition has appeared, courtesy of Brandon Ingram. The "Fundamental" colorway that Jordan Brand utilized to introduce the AJ 38 has been transferred to the low-top form.
A closer look at the Air Jordan 38 Low reveals the meticulous attention to detail and design integrity. The silhouette maintains its original neoprene and textile framework, likely constructed with 20% recycled content like the original AJ 38. Akin to its high-top counterpart, the low-top also features a textile panel on the midfoot. Likewise, there’s a toned-down take on the embroidered patterns near the collar. However, the signature Jumpman emblem stands tall and proud atop the tongue. The color narrative is classic – white shading engulfs the mudguard, midfoot, collar, and heel.
Meanwhile, stark black contrasts are visible on the toebox, tongue, laces, and eyestays. Vibrant red touches bring life to the Jumpman logo on the tongue and the inner sockliner. The sole is the hallmark of the shoe, combining the dynamic Zoom Strobel and Cushlon 3.0 cushioning. The new X-Plate nested within the rubber outsole is completing the shoe's architectural prowess.
The Air Jordan 38 Low Fundamental will release January 9, 2024, through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $175.
