The college basketball season might have come to a close, but staying fresh is forever. Since the end of March Madness, Jordan Brand has been hooking up some of their sponsored programs with school-spirited pairs of the Air Jordan 14. San Diego State, UCLA, University of Florida, Marquette University, and, most recently, Howard University have all showcased their Air Jordan 14s, and now the University of Houston Cougars are stealing the show with a Ferrari-inspired colorway.

The Cougar colorway carries details from the Ferrari AJ 14 with its bright red suede upper and carbon fiber details. Matching the other school pairs, the Houston colorway takes the Ferrari-inspired badge and swaps out the usual Jumpman logo for Houston’s crest. Outside of the major branding, the sneaker makes a few minor tweaks because there’s no need to ruin perfection.

In place of the silver vents on the midsole of the original colorway, the Air Jordan 14 Houston PE goes for the gold with a golden TPU shank and even adds a matching metallic flair to the tips of the tongue. The sneaker fully leans into the red by swapping out the yellow details on the Jordan branding on the tongue and the Jumpman and “23” on the heel for a shade of cougar crimson. Completing the look is a black midsole and outsole.

The Air Jordan 14 Houston Cougars is a PE reserved only for the program’s athletes, so unless you have some years of eligibility left, these will be a tough pair to lay your hands on.
