Michael Jordan and the game of golf go hand in hand like His Airness and basketball. During his career, MJ would often spend a lot of his spare time hitting the links wherever he was at the time. To this day he still enjoys playing golf whenever he can. He even opened his own luxury golf club in 2019, The Grove XXIII, located in Hobe Sound, Florida. With players such as Harold Varner III, Bubba Watson and Pat Perez rocking the Jumpman in the PGA, Jordan Brand continues to have a strong presence on and off the basketball court.
While we have seen classic Air Jordan silhouettes such as the Air Jordan 1, 3, 4, 5 and 11 get converted into a golf cleat, the Air Jordan 12 is up next. Kicking things off will be the original “Taxi” edition, in low-top form. Staying true to the OG, they feature a white-based leather upper with black accents and taxi gold detailing, unlike the recently released Air Jordan 12 Retro “Royalty” that opts for more metallic gold accents. Red branding throughout, an updated back tag that reads “GOLF For The Love Of 18” and a modified golf cleated sole rounds things out.
The Air Jordan 12 Retro Low Golf Taxi is set to be released in 2022. They will launch at Nike as well as select Jordan Brand retailers in-store and online. They will be available in men's sizes with a retail price set at $220. Keep it locked to our Twitter and Mobile App to stay up to date on this release as it gets closer.
