With their founding being based on performance basketball, Jordan Brand has expanded its reach into multiple sports with athletes across the board rocking apparel and footwear created by the subsidiary of Nike. Over the last two years, golf has become a major focus as releases of classic models and colorways have come ready for the course, such as the Air Jordan 4 “Military Blue,” or Air Jordan 1 Low in the “Chicago” and “UNC” colorway. Now, jumping up to the AJ 12, Jordan Brand is bringing us the iconic “Playoff” colorway in low-top golf-ready form.
Keeping the classic black/white color makeup alive, faux reptile leather in white makes up the mudguard with black tumbled leather taking over the rest of the upper. Black-on-black lands on the tongue and lace set, sans the “TWO” and Jumpman branding in white and red respectively, while the uppermost eyestay gets a silver finish. Back on the heel, the usual pull-tab remains with “Golf” and “For the love of 18” text replacing the usual Air Jordan branding. More golf branding gets placed on the black insole in a red shade, accenting the black sockliner nearby. Underfoot, the usual AJ 12 midsole comes in white with the rubber outsole below getting a semi-translucent finish as well as golf spikes ready for your next round of 18 holes.
The Air Jordan 12 Retro Low Golf Playoff is set to release on October 18th, 2022 through Nike, select Jordan Brand retailers, and select golf stores online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $220. Keep it locked to our Twitter and the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest happenings in sneakers, streetwear, and more.
