We live in an era full of pop culture sneaker collabs. From Powerpuff Girls SB Dunks to Pokémon Pumas and the entire Crocs catalog, you can wear your favorite characters on your feet no matter where your fandom lies. No matter how many cartoon kicks hit the shelves, though, nothing will compare to the sneakers Michael Jordan laced up alongside Bugs Bunny and the Toon Squad: the Space Jam 11.
From a failed playoff push against the Orlando Magic in 1995 to the silver screen in the movie Space Jam in 1996 to an eventual retail release in 2000, the Air Jordan 11 Space Jam has gone down as one of the best Jordan 11s of all time. In 2009 and 2016, the sneaker was released in OG fashion, followed by a low-top Space Jam 11 in 2024. Now, with memories of the mad dash for the holiday 2025 drop of the Air Jordan 11 Gamma still dancing like sugar plums in our heads, the Jumpman is getting set for a massive holiday drop at the end of 2026, with an OG Space Jam 11 retro returning once again.
We’ve all seen the colorway, but in case you forgot, the Air Jordan 11 Retro Space Jam features a black patent leather toe and side panels with black mesh above it, blue branding, a white midsole, and most famously, an icy blue outsole underfoot. It was actually the first retro Air Jordan 11 to bring back the higher cut of patent leather, a feature found on original pairs from the mid-90s. From 2000 up until the 2016 retro of the Space Jam 11s, all AJ 11 colorways had a lower patent leather cut.
Expect the Air Jordan 11 Retro Space Jam to drop Holiday 2026 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers in full-family sizing.t We’re already getting hyped to go Monstar on the first-come-first-serve release lines, so rest assured we’ll keep you updated with more info on the Sole Retriever mobile app as soon as we get it.
