Last seeing a release in 2016, the satin-covered AJ 1 High in the iconic “Bred” colorway is hitting shelves Holiday 2023.

We’ve barely made it past the month of January and already we’ve seen a large chunk of what this year has to offer in terms of sneaker releases from Nike and Jordan Brand. As we previously reported, we’re expecting the introduction of new silhouettes like the Nike Calm Slide in the Fall alongside rumors of both the “DMP” and “Neapolitan” AJ 11 making their way to consumers come Holiday, however, the rumors for the years end continue to pop up. Originally reported on by zSneakerHeadz and SneakerFiles, we can confirm that the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Satin "Bred" (W) is set to return Holiday 2023.
Originally released in 2016, the satin-covered AJ 1 High “Bred” takes the iconic silhouette MJ began his empire with and swaps out the leather build for a silky satin across the entire sneaker. Key details remain identical to the infamous colorway as black satin covers the mudguard, eyestays, quarter panel, and collar while hits of red appear on the toebox and heel overlays. This black-on-black combo continues up to the tongue and lace set while branding details swap back and forth between black and red, as seen on the red Swoosh, black Wings logo, and red “Nike Air” text atop the tongue. Underfoot sits a white AJ 1 midsole paired with a red rubber outsole.
The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Satin Bred W is set to release Holiday 2023 through Nike SNKRS and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Coming in women’s, pre-school, and toddler sizing, retail price is set at $180 (women's), $85 (PS), and $70 (TD).
