The Air Jordan 1 has been a cultural icon since its debut in 1985, but in recent years, its once-unshakeable hype has declined, with pairs sitting on shelves and even landing in clearance sections. Despite this, Jordan Brand has plans for more Air Jordan 1s throughout the year. Anticipated releases for 2025 are the UNC Reimagined, Ruby, and the Shattered Backboard return. Adding to this lineup is a new colorway, Baroque Brown Light Madder Root, which was initially reported on by House of Heat and Elden Monitors.
Following this news, official images of Jordan apparel revealed a first look at the women's exclusive AJ 1. The titular hue is only applied to the woven tongue label, leaving the rest of the sneaker with a two-tone combo of baroque brown and sail.

The latter of the two hues marks the toebox, midfoot panel, tongue, and collar, while baroque brown leather wraps around the mudguard, eyestays, collar, Swoosh, and heel. The sneaker's sail midsole and baroque brown outsole complete the look.
The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Baroque Brown Light Madder Root W is set to release in September 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. In women’s, PS, and TD, sizing, retail is $185, $85, and $70.
