Directly taking reference from one of Jordan Brand’s most iconic colorways, the Air Jordan 1 Mid gets a “Space Jam” makeover.

Often looked at as the “black sheep” of the Air Jordan 1 family, the AJ 1 Mid still offers solid colorways, a (somewhat) similar look to the AJ 1 High, and comes in at a more affordable price. Many of the options present on the silhouette do take inspiration from other iconic Air Jordan 1 colorways, however, the latest option is directly taking the colorway and material makeup of the Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam” made famous by the 90s film.

Across the upper sits a single shade of stealthy black with a mixture of smooth and patent leather visible. The latter of these two materials takes over the mudguard, eyestays, and collar overlays while the toebox, quarter panel, and collar underlay come in a smooth leather finish. Tonal black laces match the nylon tongue which hosts a hit of purple thanks to the Jumpman embroidered at the top. Looking at the insole, a special graphic mimicking the AJ 11s branding detail on the tongue is printed in a similar purple found on the AJ 11 “Space Jam.” Rounding out the design is the white rubber midsole paired with a semi-translucent rubber outsole.

The Air Jordan 1 Mid SE Space Jam is set to release on January 23rd, 2023 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Coming in full-family sizing, the retail price is set at $135 (men’s), $120 (GS), $80 (PS), and $65 (TD).
