Jordan Brand loves to experiment on the Air Jordan 1. No color scheme or material for that matter is safe. With the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Twist 2.0” recently revealed, complete with faux pony hair, the AJ 1 Mid gets a plush makeover.
Another women’s exclusive, this special edition Air Jordan 1 Mid is known as “Purple Velvet." Coming in purple smoke and white, the entire upper is covered in velvet, sans the tongue. Silky, ribbon laces add extra flair to these mid’s, while the Swoosh on the sides comes embroidered, as does the hollowed out Wings logo on the ankle. A clean, white midsole provides a subtle break in color as the outsole is also decked out in purple smoke.
The Air Jordan 1 Mid SE Purple Velvet W is set to release in 2022. It will drop at Nike, via the SNKRS app, and select Jordan Brand retailers worldwide, both in-store and online. Coming in women’s sizing, retail is set at $135.
