To differentiate the AJ 1 High and Mid, the latter is often seen in creative and unique colorways, from the upcoming split black, French Blue, and white to a Christmas-themed variation. Looking forward to 2023, Jordan Brand has a tropical-infused Air Jordan 1 Mid SE on the horizon, being dubbed “Tiki Leaf.”
Dressed in a combo of suede and tumbled leather, the silhouette dives head first into the realm of cream with the suede toebox, midfoot panel, mesh tongue, and lace set all covered in a mix of sail and muslin. Accenting this, the team red/university red combo lands atop the tumbled leather overlays found via the mudguard, eyestays, and collar overlay. The Tiki vibes emerge toward the rear of the silhouette with the heel overlay and collar underlay taking on an etched graphic of tropical leaves, though it still stays within the red theme. Swapping out your typical Nike Swoosh, the midfoot features an embroidered logo while the tongue tag and insole stick to their standard Jumpman details. Rounding out the look is the sail rubber midsole and red rubber outsole.
The Air Jordan 1 Mid SE Tiki Leaf W is slated to release in March of 2023 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Coming in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $135.
