Is your sneaker game feeling a little boring lately? Need something to spice things up? Then the upcoming Air Jordan 1 Mid SE "Shattered Backboard" could have your name written all over it. Paying homage to one of the most iconic retro AJ 1s ever made, if you didn’t have a chance to grab the OG this might be the perfect alternative.

All Jumpman fans must know the “Shattered Backboard” story by heart by now, so we’re not going to go into specifics. Basically, during a 1985 exhibition game in Italy, Michael Jordan dunked so hard that the backboard of the basketball hoop completely shattered. While he was doing this, he wore an orange and white uniform, inspiring this theme of colorways. Crafted from leather, this new variant boasts a coconut milk base while bold sport spice hues give the sneaker a fiery hot makeover. Black accents adorn the winged basketball emblem on the ankle, and it also outlines the Nike Swoosh along the laterals and medials for added depth.

The Air Jordan 1 Mid SE Sport Spice W is set to release in Spring 2023. It will drop at Nike and select Jordan Brand retails online and in-store. Coming in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $135.
